  • Log Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, pages viewed, and the page you visited before navigating to our App.
  • Location Data: General location information derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation data unless you explicitly enable this feature and grant permission.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (UK and EU Users)

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we process your personal information based on the following legal grounds under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

5.1 Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics providers, customer support services, and email delivery services. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests, such as subpoenas, court orders, or government regulations. 5.6 Third-Party AI Processing Services

When you use the AI-powered practice feedback feature in the Practice tab, your data is processed by the following third-party services:

  • ElevenLabs (Speech-to-Text Transcription): When you submit a voice recording for practice analysis, your audio recording is sent to ElevenLabs for speech-to-text transcription. ElevenLabs processes your voice recording in real-time to convert it to text and does not permanently store your audio data after processing. For more information, see the ElevenLabs Privacy Policy.
  • OpenRouter (LLM Providers — AI Feedback): The transcribed text from your voice recording is sent to OpenRouter, which routes it to large language model (LLM) providers to generate AI-powered feedback on your pronunciation and practice quality. OpenRouter processes the transcribed text in real-time and does not permanently store your data after processing. For more information, see the OpenRouter Privacy Policy.

What data is shared: Voice recordings (sent to ElevenLabs) and the resulting transcribed text (sent to OpenRouter). No other personal information is shared with these services.

Purpose: To provide you with AI-powered practice feedback, including pronunciation analysis and practice quality assessment.

Data retention by third parties: Both ElevenLabs and OpenRouter process your data in real-time for the purpose of providing transcription and AI feedback. Your data is not permanently stored by these services after processing is complete.

User consent: Before any voice recording data is shared with these third-party services, you will be prompted within the App to provide your consent. You may choose not to use the AI practice feedback feature, in which case no data will be shared with these services.

6. International Data Transfers

Our App serves users in multiple countries including the United States, India, and the United Kingdom. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our servers or service providers may be located.

6.1 Transfers from the United Kingdom and EEA

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area and your information is transferred outside these regions, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. These safeguards may include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or UK Information Commissioner's Office, transfers to countries deemed to provide adequate protection, and binding corporate rules or other legally recognized mechanisms.

6.2 Transfers from India

If you are located in India, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (as applicable). We will ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable Indian data protection requirements.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide you with our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When determining the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process the information, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and applicable legal requirements.

When your personal information is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not possible due to backup or archival systems, we will securely store and isolate your information from further processing until deletion is possible.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication mechanisms, regular security assessments and updates, access controls limiting employee access to personal information, and secure data storage with reputable cloud service providers.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13 in the United States, under 13 in the United Kingdom, or under 18 in India (unless parental consent is obtained). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Our App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by us. This Privacy Policy applies only to our App. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. 15. Jurisdiction-Specific Provisions

15.1 United States

We comply with applicable US federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other state privacy laws as applicable.

Do Not Track Signals: Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Our App does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

California Shine the Light: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information regarding the disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

15.2 India

We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as applicable.

Sensitive personal data, as defined under Indian law, is collected and processed in accordance with applicable requirements, including obtaining consent where necessary and implementing reasonable security practices.
